The D&O Diary’s European assignment continued last week with a long weekend stopover in the French capital city of Paris. February is not the month usually associated with the French city’s romantic image, but the weather was not too bad and it turned out to be a fine time for a visit.

Paris in June
The D&O Diary is on assignment this week in Europe, with the first stop in the French capital city of Paris. I have been to Paris many times before, and in all kinds of weather. I have been in Paris in the snow, in the rain, and in the sunshine. However, I have never seen Paris as we experienced it over the past few days. We enjoyed a string of sunny, warm, clear, pleasant, summery days — the best word I can think of to describe the weather we enjoyed in Paris is “magical.”Continue Reading Paris in June
January in Northern Europe
The D&O Diary was on assignment in northern Europe last week, with stops in Berlin, Hamburg, and Paris. I know from past experience that traveling in northern Europe in January can be a formidable experience. On this trip, however, mild and dry weather conditions generally prevailed, allowing for some really pretty enjoyable travel experiences.

November in Paris
The D&O Diary’s European itinerary continued with a quick weekend stop in Paris. The weather forecast projected rain for pretty much the entire weekend. And it did in fact rain Sunday morning. But the rest of the weekend was dry and more or less sunny.

A Visit to an Old Friend in Paris
The D&O Diary’s European assignment last week concluded with a weekend stopover in Paris. With the warm, sunny weather that prevailed, the visit to Paris was every bit as wonderful as you might suppose. In addition to the obvious draw of visiting Paris in July, another reason for the visit was to check in on an old friend who has been going through some tough times lately.

Paris Update
The D&O Diary’s European assignment continued this past week with a short stop in Paris before heading home. I was in Paris for some business meetings, but I also had some other important things to attend to there as well. The most important thing that required my immediate attention upon my arrival in Paris was to check in on an old, dear friend that recently suffered a serious misfortune.

November in London and Paris
The D&O Diary was on assignment in Europe last week, with a first stop for a short visit in London for meetings there. It isn’t always sunny in London in November. But when the sun does shine, it can be pretty special. The sun shone brightly in London while I was there and I was fortunate that I had a little bit of time in the mornings before my meetings to walk around and enjoy the scene, before moving on to my next stop on the travel itinerary.

April in Paris
The D&O Diary is on assignment in Europe this week, with a first stop in Paris, for meetings. I have been to Paris many times before, but almost always in the fall or winter. Before this trip, I hadn’t really had the pleasure of seeing Paris in the spring. What I found was that — though warmer temperatures do seem to bring out the crowds — Paris in the spring is delightful.
